Outreach Services

We believe that transitions are important and the support a woman receives from Elizabeth Fry House should not stop once they move on. We know it can be hard finding your feet in the community once leaving the structure and support of the House, therefore we like to offer ongoing support to all women moving on.
For women moving on to the Reading area, our Outreach Worker will be available to support you by:
– accessing other services
– attending appointments in the community
– finding local activities that interest you
– helping you through challenges
– providing a friendly face to meet for a coffee and chat
Outreach Services are available to ex-residents for approximately six months, although this can differ depending on the individual.
Women moving on outside of the Reading area are offered ongoing telephone contact with our Housing and Link Worker. We know how important it can be to have someone to call when things are not going well – or you are facing a problem or difficult situation and want to talk to someone you know. It goes without saying that we also love to hear from women when things are going well as well!
