New funding for Therapeutic Gardening services.
20 November 2023
Westhill are supporting the Therapeutic Gardening project offering residents a positive, rewarding way to spend time improving the environment, contributing to a sense of pride. Benefits include exercise in fresh air, and a sense of purpose and achievement. Women are able to bond and connect as a group in a safe, informal environment, tending to plants and caring for the grounds. Women will be outside with nature, learning skills (socially and in relation to gardening, even growing edibles -which they can apply living independently, or for volunteering), and developing strategies for reducing stress and anxiety.
