Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales awards generous grant to Elizabeth Fry

Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales has awarded £69,784 to Elizabeth Fry, which equates to three years’ salary for a Housing and Link Worker. We are most grateful to them for their generosity.

The main element of the role of the Housing and Link Worker is to work directly with residents to facilitate their successful move on from the Elizabeth Fry approved premises, which will include contact with them prior to their arrival and support during and after their stay. The post holder is also required to promote the use of Elizabeth Fry to partner organisations, through presentations and regular correspondence.

Paul Streets OBE, CEO of Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales said: “We are proud to fund and support Elizabeth Fry and the important work they do to help female ex-offenders make the difficult transition from life in prison to life beyond it. This organisation is making a tremendous impact upon the lives of those it supports and through funding them to employ a new Housing and Link Worker it’s clear that they’ll be able to extend their reach even further, with the right support in place to help individuals move on as successfully as possible.”
